Puppytown is a line of award-winning children’s videos featuring real footage of puppies and dogs. They are family-friendly, educational, and promote a love and responsibility for pets in children from ages 1 to 6.
My sister-in-law teaches preschool and her class of 4-year-olds’ loved watching Puppytown, Growing Up which features dogs at work, like guide dogs, sled dogs, and police K9s. The original Puppytown, The Movie DVD and CD set teaches kids the basics of Puppy 101 and includes an interactive portion. The DVDs teach children positive messages about caring for a puppy.
The two-part disc sets, which include a DVD and CD, retail for $19.99, or you can purchase both for $34.99. The gift set is pictured here and features one of the adorable soft plush toy puppies, from Dalmations to Siberian Huskys to Labrador Retrievers.
If your family will be adding a new puppy to the mix, the Puppytown DVDs and stuffed animals would be a great way to educate your kids about caring for, and life with, puppies. Dogs are family members, too, so why not prepare your kids for the furry kind?
And my apologies if you are now mysteriously singing “Won’t You Take Me To…Puppytown?” all day.
