At 11 years “young,” our Akita mix Jack is still a very active, happy boy. Sometimes it’s hard for me to remember that he’s technically a senior dog, especially when he shows off his puppy side.
Jack is a beloved part of our family and I’m always interested in finding out what we can do to make sure he is healthy and happy. As an official Pedigree ambassador this year, Jack has been testing out a great new dog food formula, specifically made with senior dogs’ needs in mind.
Pedigree is a brand we were already familiar with and trust as we’ve been feeding our dogs Pedigree through the years so I was excited to try the new Pedigree Adult Complete Nutrition for Dogs. Over the course of 6 weeks we transitioned Jack from his old food to his new food with glucosamine. Pedigree Large Breed formula contains glucosamine, which is great for helping keep his aging joints healthy. Pedigree is also reasonably priced and available at your local grocery store and big box discount store. It’s great to have a quality dog food at a good price and knowing that I’m not cutting back on the nutrition he needs as he gets older.
Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in an Ambassador campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Pedigree and received dog food to facilitate my reviews and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
