This giveaway is closed. Diane L, who commented, “When my son moved into his first campus apartment at college, we found some great deals on kitchen supplies! It’s no secret that T.J. Maxx is one of my favorite stores. It’s my go to stop for fashion. They also have great deals for kids!” is the winner!
T.J. Maxx sent me a $50 gift card to shop for back to school clothing for my girls and my 8-year-old fashionista Miss C was happy to help mommy conduct a little retail research.
My girls’ school has a school uniform dress code but on dress down days and school picture days they can go for the fashion gusto. T.J. Maxx has great deals on the latest trends for kids, plus our local T.J. Maxx has a school uniform section with reasonably priced solid polo shirts and navy and khaki skorts and other basics. All the school uniform items we found at our local T.J. Maxx were priced at under $10, making them comparable to stores like Target and WalMart. I also scored a super cute girly lunch box for my 5-year-old for just $5.99
Since 1984 T.J.Maxx has raised over $14.7 million to support Save the Children’s U.S. Programs which provide early education, literacy, physical activity, and nutrition programs to children in need. Helping out is as easy as buying a special edition shopping bag at any T.J. Maxx (seen pictured above.) For every customer who posts a tote to their Facebook wall, T.J. Maxx will donate $1. T.J. Maxx is also hosting a special eBay auction, where Maxxinistas can bid on one of their special edition tote bags signed or decorated by celebrities at the T.J.Maxx Teen Choice Awards Lounge and some of Save the Children’s Artist Ambassadors.
One lucky Savvy Housewife reader will win the special edition Save the Children large shopping tote as pictured above. It’s perfect for toting back to school supplies!
To enter, just tell me about your favorite find at T.J. Maxx.

That’s an easy one. I have this black Liz Claiborne dress with tiny cream-colored dots all over. Love it. Add a fuchsia sweater in the winter, wear it sleeveless in the summer, it’s perfect.
