It’s hard to believe this is my last post as part of the Arm & Hammer Switch & Save Challenge. I’ve been writing about how I’m enjoying using the Spinbrush and honestly I think the other toothbrushes in our house might have a little toothbrush envy.

Last month I wrote about ways to cut back on sugary treat for kids and now Halloween is just a few short weeks away. My 6-year-old still has all her baby teeth and I am working with her to instill the importance of good dental hygiene. Her first grade classmates have been losing their teeth and I know she is getting excited about losing her first tooth. Her big sister lost her first tooth at 7 so it’s just a matter of time before the Tooth Fairy comes to visit our house! My older daughter had a missing tooth just in time for her 2nd grade school pictures.

Brushing Up On My Toothbrush Skills

Remember when you were a kid and you’d chew on those fun red tablets (and I use the term fun lightly) at the dentist and they’d magically reveal all the plaque you’d missed? Maybe I’m dating myself, but I will never forget the entire process. It was eye opening and a wee bit gross to see what I was missing each time I brushed my teeth.

I may be 42 now but you can teach an old dog new tricks when it comes to dental hygiene. Last year my dental hygienist gave me a refresher course on how to properly brush my back teeth because I was having some issues with plaque. She showed me how to use small circular brush strokes to really get those back teeth clean!

This is my final month to participate in the Arm & Hammer Switch & Save Challenge and I’ve been focusing on dental care. Arm & Hammer is a brand I’ve trusted for years so it’s no surprise that I am loving their products that go above and beyond that little orange box that is such a familiar staple in my kitchen cupboard.

I’ve never used a battery-operated toothbrush before, so it’s been nothing but fun to use the Spinbrush Proclean. And, I might add, I think my girls have a wee bit of new toothbrush envy. It’s my last month to participate in the Switch & Save Challenge blogger challenge and I’ve been enjoying testing out all the great products Arm & Hammer offers for the entire house, and not just the kitchen.

Last week I told you about the Arm & Hammer Spinbrush Proclean. I had braces as a kid for years and a retainer and it was drilled into me (pardon the dental pun) that brushing my teeth after every meal is absolutely necessary for good dental health. Those days of visiting the orthodontist office and having my braces tightened still haunt me. I even keep an extra toothbrush in my desk at work for fear my childhood dentist and orthodontist will stop by unexpectedly and ask when I last brushed.

The Spinbrush Proclean has made it very easy to remember to take good care of my smile.
