Start Simple, Start Right Every Day At Breakfast With Kellogg’s

I’ve been eating Kellogg’s cereals since I was a kid. I remember sitting cross-legged on the floor on Saturday mornings and watching my favorite cartoons. Rice Krispies has been a long-time favorite of mine and now my girls love listening for that snap, crackle, pop!

Breakfast is such an important part of the day but mornings around here (especially on school and work days) are just a tad crazy. We are all trying to race out the door. My girls are 7 and 10 now so it’s great to have go to breakfasts that are both healthy AND simple enough for them to prepare all by themselves. That’s the beauty of cereal!

Kellogg’s knows the importance of keeping it simple for your family. That’s why they’ve launched the Start Simple, Start Right website, a great resource of information about 5 of their cereals that contain 7 ingredients or less:

Kellogg’s Raisin Bran
Kellogg’s All Bran
Kellogg’s Corn Flakes
Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Original
Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Gluten Free

Three of these, Raisin Bran, Corn Flakes, and Rice Krispies Original are favorites from my own childhood. It’s so great to share these breakfast memories with my own girls. When you’re out shopping for groceries for your family, be sure to look for the orange banner along the top of each box of these Simple Grain cereals.

Having grown up in a farming community here in Middle Tennessee, I think it’s important to discuss with my girls how our country’s farmers contribute to our daily meals. The Kellogg’s Start Simple, Start Right website also features three informative videos about how a simple seed can translate into a family’s breakfast. I think it’s critical to teach our kids the story behind the meals they eat. Even a simple bowl of cereal has a pretty cool start.

Disclosure: I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kellogg’s. I received sample products to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item as a thank-you for participating. All opinions expressed on my blog are my own.
