Pancakes and muffins have always been a treat for my girls on chilly weekend mornings but I rarely have time to bake from scratch. Bisquick has long been a staple in our pantry and I’ve always loved Betty Crocker boxed muffin mix so I was excited to try some of General Mills’ newer products, like Bisquick Shake ‘N Pour. I liked the convenience and no mess factor of Bisquick Shake ‘N Pour and I think it would be ideal for camping trips or vacations where you have access to your own kitchen, but don’t want to pack a full box of pancake mix. It’s also a great way to introduce little ones to baking.
I made quick bread with the Betty Crocker cinnamon streusel muffin mix using the alternate recipe on the back of the box for a little change of pace (I know…mama so crazy!) and my girls loved them. We also tried the blueberry muffin mix from Betty Crocker, which is actually an old favorite at our house.
The Bisquick website includes lots of fun family recipes for breakfast, including this insanely cute Piggy Pancakes Recipe.
