I’m really bad about letting weeks go by once I hit the point of no return with my roots. I get my hair highlighted regularly and my roots are the first thing to give me a clue that it’s been too long since I went to my hair salon.
Thankfully at 42 I don’t have much gray to cover but I definitely have roots to conceal inbetween highlights.
It’s been about 7 weeks since my last cut and color and, as you can see here, I need to speed dial my stylist now. I also need a nap (I look tired!)
I’ve never tried any sort of root concealer spray so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Rita Hazan Root Concealer is odorless and it’s not “tacky” like hair spray. I used the blonde shade on my roots. You simply shake the can well and spray on clean, dry hair, holding it about 4 to 6 inches away from your hair. I was sent the concealer for gray, but there is also a highlights concealer.
The after results were surprisingly subtle and natural looking!
Rita Hazan Root Concealer is available in five different shades – something for every hair color. The color is temporary and while it’s resistant to water and perspiration, it is easily washed out with your regular shampoo. There’s no overpowering scent (in fact I couldn’t detect any scent at all) and it contains no dye.
If you’re looking for a solution for inbetween hair appointments, this is a great product. You can find Rita Hazan Root Concealer at Sephora. Connect with Rita Hazan on Facebook and Twitter to learn more about their products and to take advantage of special offers.
