Neighborhood street just down the hill from our house…we had no damage to our home.
I have lived in Nashville my entire life and never witnessed anything like the flood waters that ravaged Middle Tennessee this weekend.
Helicopters are flying overhead, people have their entire household out on lawns drying out, mounds of river soaked carpeting are piled by the sidewalks, and the street we normally drive to my 2nd grader’s school is still a small river. One of our friends spent yesterday searching for a young man’s body (his car was found on a flooded road) and a little girl in the class next to my daughter’s at daycare came to school wearing someone else’s clothes because her home was destroyed.
