A fast healthy meal on a week night? Isn’t this unattainable epic quest?
There are school nights where are calendar is booked solid, whether it be with soccer, Girl Scouts, or gymnastics. It’s hard enough to find time to eat, much less cook dinner.
Kidfresh launched in Harris Teeter stores this March (which has locations here in Middle Tennessee) and I was asked to try some of their meals with my girls. Want to know if there’s a store in your area selling Kidfresh? Check out their store locator.
Kidfresh is created by parents for parents, with the help of top pediatric nutritionists and NYC-based chefs. The company has grown from its initial concept store on Manhattan’s Upper East Side in the mid 2000’s to become a pioneer in all-natural, wholesome, delicious kids meals. Kidfresh offers kid favorite entrees like mac and cheese and ravioli made with 100% natural ingredients all ready in 4 minutes. Each meal comes high in protein and vitamins, contains low sodium, and has less than 400 calories.
Kidfresh meals are great in a pinch for busy parents (and what parent isn’t busy?) and come in 6 great varieties:
- Totally Twisted Pasta + Meatballs
- Rainbow Rice + Chicken
- Easy Cheesy Ravioli
- Spaghetti Loops Bolognese
- Muy Cheesy Quesadillas
- Wagon Wheels Mac + Cheese
The company’s founder, Matt Cohen, created the line of frozen meals with his family in mind and makes sure that his company also helps children in need; Kidfresh is a sponsor of Save the Children and has donated meals to City Harvest, a New York-based non-profit which helps provide meals to families in need.
Rainbow Rice and Chicken, my girls’ favorite Kidfresh meal.
