Do you know about the large, “final resting place” for all the Goodwill stores’ goods? It’s a warehouse downtown near the farmer’s market. When items don’t sell in the stores, they are taken to this store for ROCK-BOTTOM prices. It’s pretty grimey and a real searching adventure; not a good place for kids. 😉 All of the clothing is sold by the pound. You can leave–literally–with a large garbage bag full of clothes for a few dollars.

Anyway, I’d love to have a gift card to Goodwill. 🙂

    Hello Savvy Housewife!
I’ve just stumbled across your blogs and I must say, they are a great read! I’m an Upcycle Designer based here in Nashville… I search through about 5 or 6 of our local Goodwill’s each week finding whatever I can to create new and unique housewares, clothing, and accessories. Just last week I found an amazing vintage sewing table (with machine!) for just $25.00 and a great selection of vintage sheets. Check out my blog for updates on all my Goodwill projects: http://www.blackgardeniadesign.wordpress.com. Happy Earth Day!

I recently took my Mom on her first Goodwill outing. We hit about 3 in the Nashville area. A friend of mine went along for a day of shopping and we found lots of goodies! Also, when one of the boys needs something for just one occasion, that is the first place I stop by. I like to say I rent from there, because I give back also!
I had a cute Halloween pumkin face t-shirt I rented last season for my youngest! 😉
