i wish we had school uniforms – my kids fight me every day about what they are wearing. (one wants to wear ripped jeans and ratty tshirts and the other wants to wear bridesmaid dresses. SIGH,)

i LOVE how you injected personality into these uniforms! That’s hard to do!
(and totally getting that cardi for my daughter!) -mel

My kids don’t have uniforms. I’m on the fence w/them, but you did an excellent job having your daughter get a little personality w/a uniform on. I want that backpack.

Love how you jazz up those basic uniforms. And I really want that gray ruffle cardigan! (for me!)

I’m glad your daughter has such a stylish Mommy who can help her bring a little style to otherwise (mostly) boring uniforms. I don’t have children yet, but last weekend I volunteered sorting with a local charity Operation Backpack that collects and distributes backpacks filled with all the supplies they need for the year. I of course picked the cutest ones and made sure the colors of the supplies all matched. It was almost too cute to handle. We even had a few (extra-generous) Roxy ones donated.

My son doesn’t. I’ve always felt it would be better though. It’d take the focus of the clothing and put it where it belongs….especially at the later grade levels!

I am very much in favor of uniforms in public schools, but our school system doesn’t have them.
