My girls both wear Standard School Attire (fancy name for school uniforms) at their public elementary school. I secretly love it because it simplifies the morning routine. The rules are fairly lenient, too, as they can wear any solid colored polo or collared shirt that has no logo or emblem (or a very small one) and khaki, navy blue, or black skorts, shorts, jumpers or pants.
How can you add a little color to the boring same old, same old school uniform?
Fun accessories! From backpacks to funky tights, girls can add a lot of their own personal style to their school uniform looks.
Here are some of my back to school picks for girls:
Old Navy Polo, $5
Cherokee Skort from Target, $12.99
Roxy Backpack, $40
Thermos Peace Lunch Tote, $6.99
Merrell Mary Janes, $27.93 (My older daughter had a pair of Merrell Mary Janes in 2nd grade and they lasted ALL year and I was able to save them for my younger daughter, they were in such great shape.)
Not pictured, but oh so cute, Hanna Andersson Messenger Bags are on sale for $26! (ends 7/31)
Do your kids wear school uniforms? Do you love it or hate it? What about your kids?
