We’ve never tried Merrell shoes at our house until my husband bought a pair in August while we were on a trip in Asheville, North Carolina. I’ve always heard great things about them, so I was thrilled to learn they also carry kids’ shoes. Merrell sent my 7-year-old a pair of their rugged athletic style Mary Janes to test out. They’ve already survived an afternoon at the zoo and the first few weeks of 2nd grade.
Not only are her new shoes cute and feminine, with pink and rose trim (the fabric portion almost has a lace type pattern), but they are extremely durable. These are rugged shoes that can take a beating on the playground, but also look adorable with my daughter’s khaki school skorts and jumpers. She loves her new Merrells and can wear them on her recess days at school. I also know they will be perfect to hand down to my younger daughter some day. I adore the brown and pink color scheme for fall since it hides dirt well. I love the adjustable strap since my daughter has narrow feet. Merrell has even treated the footbed with Aegis® Antimicrobial to reduce any potential odor caused by little sweaty feet.
If you are looking for the perfect fall school shoe for your daughter you should definitely try the Merrell Chameleon Arc Jump for girls, which retails for $55. Merrells are not inexpensive, however I have no doubt that this shoe will carry my daughter through fall and winter without wearing out!
