Barilla Pasta 1024x768 Celebrate World Pasta Day With Barilla By Fighting Hunger

Did you know it’s World Pasta Day? (Although for a pasta lover like me it could be World Pasta Day EVERY day!)

Barilla is partnering with Jenny Rosenstrach, author of “Dinner: A Love Story,” a lovely book that combines amazing recipes and storytelling, to invite multi-taskers to embrace their love of pasta with dishes tailor-made for busy lifestyles. Pasta is definitely a dinner favorite at Casa Blonde Mom Blog, especially lasagna!

Barilla is also fighting hunger this month and you can help with just a click of a button AND receive a little thank you gift! Vsit Barilla’s Facebook page to “Share a Hug” to fight hunger and reach their ultimate goal of donating 200,000 meals. For simply “sharing a hug” with a click of a button, the first 25,000 will receive a product coupon and everyone gets a copy of a special edition cookbook designed to help bring home-cooked meals to the table on even the busiest of nights.

Barilla asked busy moms like me (and you!) what is taking up the time meant for dinner and based on feedback, they created a special edition cookbook designed to help bring home-cooked meals to the table on even the busiest of nights. From creamy fettuccine with Sausage and Leeks to Lemon Spaghetti, these mouth-watering recipes are sure to make sharing the table with your family something to look forward to.

I love to make pasta for my family but during the busy work and school week I am really feeling like super mom if I can get everyone at the dinner table at the same time, much less prepare a quick and nutritious meal!

Barilla has a great tortellini product that I was not familiar with and when they sent me a box of goodies to cook for my family, I’ll admit this was the one I went for when we had soccer practice night! Add a simple spinach salad and I had a nutritious dinner on the table in 10 minutes. The tortellini with marinara sauce also made for an amazing quick lunch when I was working from home on several freelance projects.

I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Barilla and received a gift code to thank me for my participation. As always, all words expressed on my blog(s) are my own!
