Kraft Basket New Year’s Eve Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed! Congratulations to Margie who commented, “I watched the clip on Shrimp and Pasta Formaggio.  The instructions were easy to follow, and it looked delicious.  I might have to try this one at home!” She won the Kraft gift basket.

Oh hai! It’s New Year’s Eve!

The winter months are perfect for staying in and enjoying the simple pleasures of home with family. I love it when we light our gas logs and curl up for the evening which is probably what we’ll be doing tonight when the clock strikes midnight, only add a lotta champagne. Party animals!

Kraft is a brand synonymous to me with comfort and family and recently re-launched the Kraft Facebook fan page and The Kraft Foods Channel on YouTube. Both sites have delicious recipes and seasonal tips to enjoy with your family this winter.  They also provide a forum to exchange ideas and recipes. I’m always on the lookout for new recipes and this is a great resource.

Kraft Foods also launched the Twitter handle: @KraftFoods and they’ll be Tweeting popular recipes from the Kraft Kitchens. YUM!

I’ve got a gift basket to give away to help spread the news about Kraft’s latest social media endeavors! It’s filled with some of my favorite Kraft Foods branded products (hello Oreos) and recipe cards featured during the holiday season that would be great to share with your family this winter. Kraft Foods has generously provided a basket filled with four delicious holiday recipes from the Kraft Foods Kitchens, a Zak Designs garlic peeler, an HA Mack olivewood mixing spoon, Velveeta Rotini and Cheese Whole Grain, Planters cocktail peanuts, Planters pecans, Baker’s semi-sweet chocolate, Stove Top stuffing, Honey Maid cinnamon crackers, Jet Puffed marshmallows, Oreos, Kraft salad dressing, NEW Maxwell House Blend coffee, new Ritz Brown Sugar Cinnamon crackers (YUM), and new Wheat Thins Flatbread crackers.

Add The Snowman’s Song To Your Family Library

Although I am from the South I use the word precious sparingly. A wonderful new children’s book, “The Snowman’s Song: A Christmas Story,” however, definitely warrants the word precious and would be a great addition to your family holiday book collection. This book is sweet and has such an inspiring message.

Add The Snowmans Song To Your Family Library

The Snowman’s Song is a beautiful story with beautiful illustrations about a little snowman who wants nothing more in the world than to sing and go caroling “like a happy child with a silvery voice.”

“It’s Christmastime, I want to rejoice!” he tells his mother.

This sweet story will become a favorite for you and your family each Christmas. We have a collection of holiday books I bring out every year and my daughters really look forward to reading their favorite Christmas stories.

Add The Snowmans Song To Your Family Library

There is also a great message for children in the story line when the red cardinal speaks tolthe little snowman about self-esteem and confidence…

“Of course you can. But first you have to believe that no matter what anyone thinks aback at you, it just isn’t true that a snowman can’t sing…I just know before you can change who you are you have to believe…you must see a star.”

Thanks to the love of a little girl a Christmas miracle happens for the little snowman and the ending is a beautiful tribute to the wonder of Christmas.

You can also feel good about buying this book as a gift because for every book purchased, a book will be given to a needy child. The Snowman’s Song can be purchased at www.snowmansong.com.

Ojolie Online Cards Membership Giveaway

Although I love receiving cards in the mail, sometimes an e-card is the best option. Most mass produced e-cards are pretty generic and uninspiring, though. I had the opportunity to review a wonderfully unique e-card website, Ojolie.com, last year and was very impressed with the beauty of these cards.

Launched two years ago by artist Fredericke Tu, Ojolie.com features beautiful custom artwork and music. Fredericke is a mother to two young sons and draws much of her inspiration for the artwork featured on her lovely cards from nature and wildlife.

Ojolie.com offers a growing selection of animated, artistic e-cards with tasteful music. Incorporating hand-painted elements, all the e-cards are a labor of love. Be sure to browse through the gorgeous animated holiday cards at Ojolie.com (I love the Snow Globe card!) There are several new ones including this beautiful Gingerbread House theme card:
